My Background
My name is Nicholas Cannon, I’m a young filmmaker from Atlanta Georgia with a passion for telling compelling stories through film. In December of 2023, I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelors of Business Administration and Religion, as well as completed my college football career. I have continued to work as a freelance filmmaker and photographer throughout my time in college working on advertisement, corporate, creative, and narrative work. As I continue to grow and develop as a filmmaker and photographer, I hope to remain committed to telling stories that are thought-provoking and impactful. I truly believe filmmaking has the power to change lives and shape the very world we live in and I hope to use this incredible artform to change this world for the better.
Why From Not For Creative
Established in January 2024, From Not For, LLC specializes in cinematography, video production, portrait, product, and landscape photography, while also offering creative direction services. Our name reflects our belief that creatives should operate from an approved identity, not for an insecure one. With comprehensive experience covering the entire creative process—from creative direction and on-set production to editing and final debut—we ensure the highest quality in every project. Inspired by Christian principles, we center our work around loving God and people. Our mission is to create impactful narratives that inspire and provoke thought, as we aim to grow into a larger agency dedicated to excellence and authenticity.
